"Improve your performance by improving your attitude" Student Success Statement
Student Success Statement
“Improve your performance by improving your attitude.”
-Anon
What this statement means is that if you want to become better at something then you should be determined in accomplishing what you want. If you push yourself to improve in something that you need to improve in, then you will accomplish your way to success. If you don't try to become better at something, then you won't improve and you won't know if you can be better at it or not. so it's important to always try and to practice a lot in order to improve yourself.

"When an archer misses the mark, he turns and looks for the fault within himself. Failure to hit the bulls-eye is never the fault of the target. To improve your aim, improve yourself." Student Success Statement
Student Success
Statement
“When
an archer misses the mark, he turns and looks for the fault within himself.
Failure to hit the bulls-eye is never the fault of the target. To improve your
aim, improve yourself.”
-Gilbert Arland
I agree with this statement
because in order for one to be good at something they need practice and when
they fail, they need to improve themselves. The only way to improve one is to
practice and one will become better at things they want to be good at. You should
never blame a target for your failure; it is not their fault because they are
not the ones doing the certain activity. If anything goes wrong it’s upon you;
but it’s nothing wrong with not doing something good. If you really want to be
good at something, improve yourself first and you will become good at it. For example, if you are playing soccer and you miss the goal, don't blame the goal post; the reason you miss is because maybe you just need practice. practice makes perfect. Belief in yourself and have faith that you will do good and you will succeed.

Reading 5 Tips for Success Tip 5
Reading
5 Tips for Success
Tip 5
Tip 5: Keep a List
of Questions
When you feel confused about something you’re reading, write down
any questions you have. Sometimes your questions are answered as you read
further. If not, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Remember, teachers create
assignments; they’ve read the texts and are familiar with them. When you have
specific questions, your teachers can provide answers that will help you better
understand the material. Learning is rooted in questions developed and asked by
the learner.
Asking questions to yourself, to the teacher, and to others, is a
great learning method. When you cease to ask questions, you cease to exist to a
great extent. Read actively by silently asking questions as you read. Questioning
immerses you into the material you are reading and therefore will expand your
mental capacities more than almost anything else.
The philosopher Sir Francis Bacon said,” Knowledge is power.”
Improving your reading comprehension is the key to gaining important knowledge
and making the most of your education. So pick up a book… and a pen.

How to Take on College Studying Part 2
How to Take on College Studying
Part 2
Choose Where to Study
Where you should study depends on
two factors: the environment in which you are best able to concentrate and the
type of work you are planning to do.
·
The best places to study
have good light, a comfortable temperature and enough desk space—usually your
dorm room, your apartment or the library
·
For completing problem sets
or brainstorming possible test questions, you may want to study with a group or
at least in a setting where fellow students are available for discussion.
·
When you are reading book
chapters or working on a research paper you are probably better off in a less
social environment.
Improve Your Study Habits
Here are simple steps you can take
to help you get a handle on studying:
·
Have a routine for where
and when you study.
·
Choose reasonable and
specific goals that you can accomplish for each study session.
·
Do things that are harder
or require more intense thought at your most productive time of the day.
·
Take breaks if you need
them so you don’t waste time looking at material but not absorbing it.
·
Get to know students whom
you respect and can study with or contact to ask questions
·
Keep up with the workload
and seek help when you need it.

"Improvement begins with I."
Student Success
Statement
“Improvement
begins with I.”
-ANON
This statement means that anything that you want to accomplish or
improve, you’re the first person to take a step and go for the prize. If you don’t
push yourself to make a change then you will be stuck in the same place; you won’t
go far. But if you really want to become better at anything you desire, then
you should do everything to be successful. An example would be wanting to
become a better basketball player. If you need improvement on any skill, and
you want to be better at it, then it depends on you if you want to improve or
not. No one else will do it for you; you are the one in charge of your dream
goals. To become a better and improved person, it starts with “‘I’ want to
Improve.”
