If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not the true, do not say it." Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement
“If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do no say it.”
-Marcus Aurelius
Roman Emperor from 161 AD to 180 AD
I agree with this statement because people should always choose the right and should never do the wrong thing. Like the quote states that we shouldn’t do something that we know isn’t the right thing to do. For example, if we know we have a lot of homework to do and we know that it’s better to stay home and work on it rather than go out with friends, then do it. You should go out knowing that you have a lot of work to do. Also when the quote states that we should say something that isn’t true. Saying the things that aren’t true will harm others, and that’s how rumor start. Talking about things that aren’t true and spreading it around is Gossip. Gossipers are not the best people, they are the one who choose the wrong and based on those rumors, people do get hurt. For example at school, some kids might talk bad about a new student who comes to school. They might say that that student thinks he is the best or a rumor which is not true, and people might not like him based on the rumors. They won’t give him the chance to get to know him.
